Yesterday, our class started the process of creating our own virtual country. In order for this to work, we as a class need to work together to create a society that meets all the demands of a normal developing country. I think this will be a really unique and fun way to help us learn about politics, things our governments do for us, and allow us to compete with each other to become the stronger group or individual than the others. I'm really excited to start bidding on the hexes we need to start building up our country, and i hope we do well enough for a long enough time, so that everyone has fun with this and gets something good out of the experience.

We discussed feminism in class a few days ago 'cause of someones shirt. Mr. Kemp said women earn 80 cents per $1 that a man makes; that's a lot of money. I think this is still a big problem in modern day society because I truly think men and women should be equal. Sure men are good at some things, but so are women, and it's completely unfair that women still earn much less than men make per hour. My dad used to tell me "if the women are happy, everyone's happy" and i think it would be a really big step in humanity for everyone if women gained the rights to be equally as important in society and this would make a lot of women happy throughout the world.

This is my standing on the political compass. Kemp says this means anyone in the lower left area is Canadian. Hope that's a good thing.
